University
Utara Malaysia (UUM), which is the university situated in the town of Sintok,
Kedah. UUM was formally incorporated on 16 February 1984. The university is
also known as a management university. The academic of UUM divide to College of
Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Business (COB) and College of Law,
Government and International Studies (COLGIS). The University offers courses
include: accounting, economics, information technology, enterprise development,
tourism management, banking and finance, social development, human resource
development priorities and international affairs management.
It consists of
15 residential colleges, which can accommodate 20,000 students in total. The
Institute was named after the many multinational companies and listed
companies, namely, MAS, TENAGA NATIONAL, TM, PROTON, PETRONAS, TRADEWINDS, EON,
SIME DARBY, MISC, PERWAJA, MAYBANK, BANK MUAMALAT, YAYASAN AL-BUKHARY, BANK
RAKYAT, and SME BANK.
